I worked with Thomson Reuters on Reuters TV as a front-end developer and motion designer. I was responsible for most of the animations, transitions and interactions in the app.
The initial version of Reuters TV made use of a number of animations to bringt the content alive. We wanted to mimic the fluidity of video without their heft and bandwidth constraints.
I coded transitions for the app to mimic a traditional broadcast and stitch together the various stories of the day.
For the onboarding I coded a set of slidable video panels and interruptable transitions to give a glimpse of the app and provide a delightful, effortless way to engage the messaging.
